Jewish Day Care in New Jersey

At the Gerrard Berman Day School, also known as the Solomon Schecter Day School of North Jersey, we are proud to have a thorough and extensive early childhood department that teaches our community's young ones to both appreciate their Jewish culture and the art of learning. By instilling an early passion for religion and education, through the use of our Jewish day care in NJ, it sets these children up for a lifetime of success.

In our warm, cozy and nurturing environment, we expose the children, ages 2-5 years, to a comprehensive curriculum of  reading, science, art, technology, mathematics, Jewish Holiday celebrations, traditions, and Hebrew language. Our teachers aim to inspire the children, applaud their strengths, gently help them improve their weaknesses, and above all, teach the kids about Derech Eretz, also known as “acts of consideration and kindness towards others.” Our Jewish day care in NJ is not just a hebrew school, or a preschool & kindergarten, it is also a place where children go to learn how to interact respectfully with one another.

In our Early Childhood Program, (with part-time and full-time daycare options), we like to make things fun so that the children will not get bored and disinterested. By employing hands-on assignments, group projects, and creative, open-ended playtime, the kids have freedom of expression and can learn more about themselves and each other.

Our NJ Jewish Day Care center offers a wide variety of classes to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. Our youngest pupils start off in Mommy & Me classes, then go onto Young 2's. All of our classes have flexible hours from 1 to 5 days a week. For pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, our classes are 5 days a week until 3:30. All of our classes have an added bonus: you have the option of placing your child in before and after-care from 7:45 AM until 6 PM.

For any questions or comments about our Jewish day care in NJ, please call us at 201-337-111. Ask for Mrs. Sylvia Berger, Director of Admissions. We look forward to hearing from you!
